The Harbour Lights is a 12-room Victorian guest house on Ilfracombe's Heritage Harbour and on the route of the South West Coast Path. The building dates from 1896 and retains a wooden staircase and double-glazed sash windows, alongside an updated solid structure with full fire safety systems. A Mixed Asian restaurant, Sauna, Steam Room Bubble Bath, and Massage Parlor will open soon as part of the hotel.
Rooms & Family
Guest rooms include the King Room with Sea View on the third floor, the Double Room with Balcony on the first floor, and the Family Two-Bedroom Suite. The Deluxe Family Room and Standard Family Room are also available; some rooms have sea views, and board games and puzzles are available. Access to rooms is via a central staircase, as the hotel has no lift.
Dining
Full breakfasts, lunches, and evening meals are available at The Brit, across the road from the hotel, open from 8 am until 10.30 pm every day. The Brit also provides a wide choice of drinks, and special diet menus can be arranged. The Pasty Bakehouse and Maddy's are both 40 yards away, and The Great British Tea Shop is 50 yards from the hotel.
Wellness & Future Facilities
Sauna, Steam Room Bubble Bath, and Massage Parlor will open soon as part of the hotel. A Mixed Asian restaurant will also open on-site. Until then, guests can use The Brit across the road for meals and drinks.
Location & Practicalities
The hotel sits on Broad Street, 350 yards from Wildersmouth Beach and close to Ilfracombe Harbour and the ferry to Lundy Island. Exmoor National Park is 6 miles away, and Watermouth Castle is 2 miles from the property. There is no private parking; Ropery Road Car Park is a short stroll along Broad Street, and the harbour area outside can be lively in the evenings.
